Who we are

My Classroom Screen is operated by iG Education Limited (a registered company), the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at igeducationlimited@gmail.com or on 07557 075612.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, a salted hash of your password (we never store your password in plain text), and optional profile information you choose to add such as a title, name, role, school code and year groups.
• Usage preferences: favourite widgets and boards you save to your account.
• Country code: an ISO country code used only to show a region flag on your profile.
• Payment records: if you purchase a licence, payment is processed by Stripe. We store a record of the transaction (session reference, plan, amount, currency and status) and a Stripe customer reference. We do not see or store your full card details — these are handled directly by Stripe.
• Sign-in timestamps: the time of your last login, used for account security and support.

Why we use it

We use this data to create and secure your account, to remember your saved tools and preferences, to provide paid licences and process payments, and to provide support. We rely on the lawful bases of performance of a contract (providing your account and any licence) and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the providers needed to run the service: our hosting and database provider (Netlify) and our payment processor (Stripe). We do not collect, proxy, or relay your credentials to any third-party product.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights — including deleting your account and associated data — email igeducationlimited@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy request" from the email address on your account. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Payment records are kept as long as required for accounting and legal obligations. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data except where we are legally required to retain certain records.
